There was a rich man living in a city. His business was spread in many places. There was no shortage of money at all and by nature he was naive and philanthropic. One day the idea came to him that we should build a temple in our village so that the poor could have food and shelter nearby and start a first aid centre there so that all the people would benefit from it. When he told this story to his Guru, the Guru said why to build one temple, yo should build two temples, one in your village and one in your city so that you too will have a closer look at God and you will maintain your altruistic attitude. Following Guru's advice, the man immediately started building the temple and within a few days both the temples were completed and the idols of the gods were installed in both the places and priests were also appointed there.
After some time both the temples became places of worship for the people, but a few days later the merchant noticed that more people were going to the temple in the village than in the city. In fact, the road to the temple in the village was very rough and winding, but people were going to the temple in large numbers. The merchant was astonished to see this situation and went to the Guru with his problem and told him all this and started asking the Guru why this was happening.
The Guru quietly listened to him and told him to do something, he told the merchant to call the priest of the village temple for service in the temple of the city and to call the priest of the city for service in the temple of the village. The merchant exchanged priests in the temple as instructed by the Guru.
A few days later he saw that the temple which was crowded with people was now in very small numbers and now people from the village were coming to visit the temple in the city. Surprised to see all this, the merchant went to meet the Guru to tell this type and he told all this to the Guru. At that time Guru told the merchant that there was nothing special about it. The priest in the city temple has a good temper. The priest attracts people with his sweet voice, so people are eager to go to the same temple as the priest. Hearing this, the merchant noticed all the circumstances.
In the same way, in our life too, our appearance is not so important, it is our nature. If you are with good-nature, people will be eager to get close to you. So you don't need big things to win others, it's your nature. People like people who live with others in their sorrows and share in their happiness.
